Our class is a hands-on cooking program to grow healthy bodies and minds.
Children will learn to prepare and eat healthy foods.
Class for 5-12yr olds are held on Thursdays at 5:00 pm. Limited spots are available as we are halfway through the term. No free trials on offer are available.
Socially/emotionally– children will develop pride and confidence in their skills and abilities.
Lots of thinking skills through problem-solving and following recipes.
Physically – Chopping, spreading, stirring, pouring and mixing are all cooking skills that help strengthen
and develop small muscle control and eye-hand coordination.
Language Development – Children will follow recipe cards and develop new words and concepts through discussions.
Cognitively – Cooking inspires children’s curiosity, thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
Children will develop maths and science skills through measuring, pouring, using measuring spoons and cups.
Children will be involved with measuring, pouring, chopping, spreading stirring and mixing new foods each week
Children will participate in nutrition worksheets and/or games
